Hunter
Campus (all campuses recommended: City College, Lehman College,
Baruch College, Center for Worker Education, Brooklyn College,
Queens College, Medgar Evers, Borough of Manhattan Community
College)"I received my graduate degree in Creative Writing from City College where I studied with many famous writers and scholars including Jane Marcus, Edna O'Brien, and Fred Tuten. Walter Moseley was a fellow student with me! Great school, but a commuter school. Not much in the way of on campus activities. People leave after class. Most students have jobs and full lives off campus that do not include the college." -----Katherine Arnoldi 695 Park Avenue New York, NY 10021 Phone: 212 772 4490 Financial aid phone: 212 772 4820 web: hunter.cuny.edu email: admissions@hunter.cuny.edu 14,1434 undergraduates 3,991 graduates Tuition: $4,329 in state (2008) $11,129 out of state
Housing: Hunter College has limited housing. Most of the CUNY campuses are for commuters who live in New York City Recommended as a place to start your education, then either transfer to a the SUNY system or go to graduate school in the SUNY system or in another state back to map

| New York For information about New York Colleges go to:
http://www.nycolleges.org/ also check out http://www.50states.com/college/newyork.htm The State Universities of New York have the best tuition, housing and day care. Hamilton College has a despicable, separate but not equal "token" program for single moms, but the college is not accessible. Shame on them. Barnard College told us when we called that they do not have "single moms at Barnard." Get out there and fight here!!! Demonstrations needed ASAP at Barnard! back to map |
